Senior Business Analyst

What We’re Seeking
A dynamic leader fueled by their passion who provides expert-level insight and analysis on the processes and technology which supports their core business partners. They will advise our company on ways we might improve our processes by identifying new opportunities and applying best practices based on experience, research, and partnership with leaders and peers across the company. The core business partner for this position is the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Departments; however, effort will cross into other functional areas in the company. Additionally, this person will assist in mentoring and growing future Business Analysts within our technology team.
Compensation: The target salary range for this position is $125,000 - $135,000 annually, consistent with our internal compensation framework. You are eligible for an incentive bonus up to 15% of your annual salary, prorated based on your start date. Final pay will be determined by your experience, skills, internal equity, and available budget.
This position is a full-time, on-site role in our Eden Prairie, MN office.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Communication
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior-level management regarding the implementation of changes.
- Sound knowledge and expertise in evaluating the implications of changes.
- Competence in writing reports and making presentations to highlight the effect of changes being made
Critical Thinking
- Approach business partners needs from various perspectives and suggest creative solutions which sometimes could be healthy disruptions to the normal thought process
- Capable of facilitating brainstorming, mind mapping, and lateral thinking to extract root cause and core business needs
- Advocate for change capable of facilitating innovation in an organizational context
Analytical & Problem-Solving
- Must be able to understand and decipher the requirements provided
- Capable of devising solutions to overcome problems faced by the business partners
- Expert in breaking down large problems into smaller and more manageable parts
- Uses logical reasoning to make decisions / recommendations based on evidence and assumptions
- Efficient in moderating group discussions and enable participants to articulate their thoughts and ideas
Leadership
- Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results
- Work together with a diverse team in guiding them through the scope of a project
- Motivate themself and team members to reach the shared goals and objectives of the business partners
- Capable of discussing sensitive and pertinent matters with end users, leaders, stakeholders, sponsors, and project teams.
- Efficient leading virtual teams through decision-making process
- Uphold the trust that has been entrusted by the company to ensure due diligence is given in defining and identifying solutions to satisfy business partners needs
What You’ll Need (Qualifications)
- Example- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in xyz10+ years of business analyst experience supporting an enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing, Procurement / Inventory, Warehouse / Distribution, Logistics / Transportation processes and systems.
- Expertise in delivering solutions based on IT best practices, methodologies, and governance.
- Advance experience in evaluating and implementing third party applications
- Strong experience in co-leading small to large projects from concept to implementation
- Strong experience in conducting root cause analysis to assist in identifying business needs / requirements.
- Experience in assisting with the understanding and development of business intelligence KPI, reports, and Dashboards
- General knowledge of Accounting, Sales, Pricing, and EDI processes
- Proficiency using Office 365 applications, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint or equivalent is required
Preferred Qualification
- JDE EnterpriseOne modules version 9.1 or later
- Experience with JDE EnterpriseOne edge applications like Business Intelligence, EDI, Insight, RF Smart, Barcode Label printing and CPM is preferred.
- SQL experience with JDE EnterpriseOne tables
- General knowledge of the JD E1 database structure and how the applications use the database is a plus.
- Experience with MS Access, MS Visio, MS Project, and MS SharePoint are a plus.
- Experience in business process automation & machine integrations
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related area from four-year accredited college preferred.
- Experience using 6Sigma or similar tools to derive root cause and solution needs
