Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $85,000–$90,000 annually, consistent with our internal compensation framework. This position is classified as Grade 15, with a full pay range of $84,613.30 to $127,028.80. You are eligible for an incentive bonus up to 5% of your annual salary, prorated based on your start date. Final pay will be determined by your experience, skills, internal equity, and available budget.

What We’re Seeking

A leader to steer the Supplier Quality and Co-Pack Quality Programs, ensuring they not only meet but exceed SQF and internal standards. This role demands a strategic approach to developing and tracking KPIs, efficiently managing team resources, and driving performance improvements.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive and implement the Supplier Quality and Co-Pack Quality Programs, ensuring alignment with SQF and internal standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of the SQF sensory program and improve its effectiveness using internal and external resources.
  • Maintain SQF compliance systems across all EAS facilities with support from the FSQ team.
  • Drive required improvements to the SQF system to maintain compliance.
  • Facilitate collaboration across facilities and the FSQ team to integrate FSQ programs and processes.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for Supplier Quality and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Manage team resources effectively, including budget allocation, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving team performance and achieving departmental goals.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and make adjustments as needed.

Program Execution

  • Update and maintain the Supplier Approval Program to meet SQF and business requirements.
  • Ensure effective execution of Co-Pack Quality Program elements.
  • Visit suppliers and co-packers for internal audits, quality troubleshooting, and relationship building (up to 25% travel).
  • Oversee implementation of the SQF sensory program, utilizing internal and external resources.

Regulatory and Compliance

  • Ensure food safety system compliance with state and federal food safety standards, including SQF, HACCP, FSMA, USDA, and local requirements.
  • Manage maintenance of food safety systems, including annual validations, reviews, and documentation.
  • Assist with food safety audits as needed.
  • Act as the backup for the SQF Coordinator as required.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

  • 5+ years in food safety and quality systems with a focus on SQF; 2–4 years managing a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel for audits (up to 25%).
  • Familiarity with GFSI schemes, FSMA, and SQF/BRC policies.
  • Certifications: SQF, HACCP, and PCQI required. Seafood HACCP preferred. SQF Internal Auditor Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments for periods of time.
