What We’re Seeking

E.A. Sween Company is seeking an experienced Regional HR Business Partner to drive business performance by aligning people strategy with organizational goals. This role provides day-to-day HR support in employee relations, performance and compensation management, policy guidance, and talent development. Additional responsibilities may include organizational design, leadership coaching, and training initiatives.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Business Partnership & Support

  • Partner with leaders to align people strategy with business goals, addressing talent gaps, succession planning, and organizational needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance, accountability, and consistent feedback to Functional Group leaders.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Support Talent Acquisition efforts through interviewing, job fairs, and job description updates.
  • Ensure business needs are clear during intake, and facilitate onboarding and orientation to drive a strong start for new hires.

Talent Management

  • Partner with managers on short-term people plans, goal setting, and workforce/succession planning.
  • Lead and support annual HR processes, including performance and talent reviews.

Employee Relations

  • Provide coaching to leaders and employees on performance, policies, and development.
  • Resolve employee relations issues, grievances, and support positive workplace culture, retention, and productivity.
  • Manage unemployment claims and hearings as needed.

Benefits & Leave

  • Guide employees through benefits enrollment and required documentation.
  • Partner with Benefits/Total Rewards on leave management, accommodations, and return-to-work processes.

Safety & Wellness

  • Serve on the Safety Steering Committee and support worker’s compensation cases.
  • Partner with Safety and Wellness HR specialists on related initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Promote cultural change, continuous improvement, and high-quality HR service delivery.
  •  Monitor feedback, stay current on HR trends, and adapt practices to strengthen employee experience.

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Model effective leadership behaviors, provide coaching, and share feedback with peers.
  • Collaborate across HR teams to encourage growth and consistency.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications)

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • 1+ years of HRIS experience (UltiPro preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and actively listen.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the organization and external partners.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • Bilingual in a prominent regional language (e.g., Spanish, Hmong).
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).

Physical Aspects of the Job

  • Primarily office-based; regular computer and phone use.
  • Occasional exposure to warehouse/outdoor environments (20–100°F).
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. regularly, and 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including some nights and weekends, in a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  •  Travel up to 10%.

Full Pay Range: $84,613.60 to $127,028.80 DOE
